MARCH 10 UPDATE

Hi folks.
Shazz here.
Well, Cheryl and I have had a great deal of fun over the past few weeks visiting Richmond River and spending time in the library going through all the archived photos.
We were lucky enough to be able to bring them home and scan them here at my place - another excuse for a long lunch....ha ha ha !!!!
But we are still looking for more so if you have any photos please email them through to us (as an attachment) to reunion2010@westnet.com.au
The only class photo we are missing from the whole 6 years is one of 9H3 so if you were in this class and have that class photo we would love a copy.

We are planning on giving everyone a DVD with copies of all the photos we receive (included in the price of your ticket for dinner on Saturday night) so it would be great to have a whole stack of photos to use.

Here are just a few of the school's archived to whet your appetite.

Recognise any of these staff....????

Some of them are still teaching.
Phil Brodie is AP at Kadina High School
Roly Dixon and Steve Dawson are STILL teaching at RRHS.
Wonder if they all still have such great legs....???

We believe this was a Year 7 Science excursion with Mrs Flatley.

She is in the back row on the left near the boy who is waving.
Mrs Flatley is still teaching at Kadina High School.

And let me tell you what a surreal experience it was to be back at the school and walking the halls, past the cooking rooms and the art quadrangle and up those library stairs.

We have also established a good network of friends on Facebook so if you want to keep up to date with any info just add us as friends on FB - just do a search for either Cheryl Durheim or Shazz Pratten.
We have created a FB page just for the reunion - do a search for
"RRHS REUNION 2010 (1977 INTAKE)"
There are also some photos on there to send you tripping down memory lane.

At present the plans for the reunion weekend are as follows.....

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 1
"Meet and Greet" at the Goonellabah Tavern
(a.k.a. "The Hilltop")
No set time but if you start arriving from about 6.30 I am sure you will find someone to share a drink and a few memories with.
And you can grab a meal there too if you need to.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2
Dinner, dancing and a trip down memory lane over at the Italo Australian Club in North Lismore.
We are still working out the details and pricing but will be pre-selling tickets from June onwards.
If you could email us your address and those of others that you know of, that would be a big help.
We would prefer it if you would buy your tickets before the night so we aren't stuck at the door selling tickets on the night
(cause we want to party too)

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 3
Family day out at Rous Public School (between Lismore and Alstonville)
Both Cheryl and I have ties to the school and Drew, the principal, has kindly offered the use of the school for the day.
It is BYO everything - food, drinks, chairs (if you are local that would be a big help), maybe a soccer ball or cricket bat....we will have BBQs set up and running for you to use, toilets will be open, and we will have tea and coffee available.
A nice way to finish off, what I am sure will be, a great weekend.

We will be finalising the details in the next month or so and then we will be sending out invites and information so you can start planning your reunion weekend.
